I thought time flew after we had Ryder. I felt like it was yesterday I had Regan, I blinked, and now she's 2 months. The last few weeks have been a blur. Since the day Regan was born she's had severe congestion. We thought she had a LONG cold. Come to find out she either has a severe milk allergy or is lactose intolerant. Poor girl also has silent reflux, it's similar to an adult having heartburn. Instead of spitting up she vomits, swallows it and chokes on it. During and after feedings she would scream and would have periods where she would scream for up to 5 hours. I would sit holding her and just cry with her. It killed me to know she was in so much pain and I could do NOTHING for her. There is nothing more exhausting than hearing a baby scream for 5 hours while trying to take care of a toddler and cook dinner at the same time. It was also very hard for Ryder. He would say "give her medicine, where's her binky, mama make her stop, it's hurting me." She would nap for 10-20 minute periods of time then wake up screaming. Now we have her on Nutramigen formula and she seems to be a lot better. Her skin has cleared up, congestion has gotten better and her diarrhea and bloody stools have gone away. Her reflux has also improved. Were finally getting to enjoy her and start to see her personality. The last few weeks during her awake hours all she would do was scream. We weren't getting to really enjoy her and it was breaking my heart. I've never felt more helpless in my life, trying to figure out what was wrong with her and doing trial and error. Hopefully were on the road to better days. Regan this week has started smiling and doing silent laughs. It's so sweet. She's an awesome sleeper at night. She wakes up only once a night since the day she was born and a few times she's even slept through the night. Heaven. She has the most beautiful big eyes and loves to watch her brother act silly. We are so in love and are enjoying each and everyday.

Poor little thing!! Gennifer had an intolerance to formula and had Nutramagen too. Back then, it was very expensive!!! But well worth it!!!
Hoping for better days, filled with baby cooing and smiles, ahead for you! She is so pretty!
