Our Son the Comedian

There are some days when I say "I hate the terrible two's." Most days I say "I love, love, love this age."  Ryder is a crack up. The funniest things come out of this 2 year old mouth. Not only is he funny, he's one of the sweetest people I know. Daily we are laughing our asses off at the stuff he says.

Tonight I'm watching t.v., everyone else is sleeping, he runs out of his room screaming.
me: "Ry, whats wrong?"
Ry: "I want my fan on."
me: "Why do you want your fan on? Its freezing!" (we keep our heat on 68)
Ry: "I want it on"
me: "okay" (I start walking out)
Ry: "mommy, I love our Christmas lights."
me: "I do too buddy"
Ry: "and I love the remote"
me: "go to sleep Ryder"
Ry: "oh mommy, I love you too."
I know that's not funny but it was so sweet.

Last week Regan had a few really bad days. Danny came home from worked and asked if I needed a glass of wine. "Yes I do." A few nights later I had bunco. Regan was screaming as I left Danny with both kids. I felt bad but I needed a break. Danny calls me later to say when he was tucking Ryder in he had told Danny, "Daddy, I need a glass of wine." Apparently Regan's screaming is really getting to him.

Thank God he has such a great sense of humor and keeps me laughing on days I want to cry. I hope someday he truly understands how much we love him and how much joy he brings to our life!!!
