What an Accomplishment

So I completed my 1st triathlon. It was a 1/2 mile swim, 12 mike ride (10 of the miles were up hill which I was not prepared for) and a 3.1 mile run. I was hoping I was prepared and was shocked at how prepared I actually was. I have two HUGE fears. One of them is swimming with my head down in water I can't see in. I'm so glad I pushed myself to do something I'm so afraid of doing and actually did great at it. I was one of the first 10 girls out of the water out of over 130 women. I ended up completed the race in 2 hours and 7 minutes. It was one of the most challenging and exciting things I have ever done for myself, and I am so glad I did it. I have found a LOVE in working out harder than I thought my body was capable of and I really enjoy sweating to the point that I can ring water out of my clothing. Who knew? My mom and Kim came out to support me. We were leaving for Hawaii 2 weeks later so Danny and Ryder supported me from home. After the race we went to Vegas for the night and enjoyed the fruits of my labor!!! I am now training for my second 1/2 marathon and hope to be pregnant during the race. We will see.
